MEET OUR VETERINARIANS

JEFFREY NELSON, DVM

Dr. Jeffrey Nelson is the owner of Granite City Pet Hospital.  Dr. Nelson received his undergraduate degree in Biology from St. John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota.  In 1999, he received his Doctorate from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota.  His areas of interest include small animal orthopedics, internal medicine, and minimally invasive procedures such as laparoscopy, arthroscopy, and ultrasound.

Dr. Nelson enjoys spending time with his wife, Amy, together with their children, Kaitlyn, Benjamin, Alex, and Will. The Nelson family also includes a Boxer named "Wheeler" and their cat "Maya".

ALYSSA ERLANDSON, DVM

Dr. Alyssa Erlandson is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a degree in Veterinary Science.  She eceived her Doctorate in 2002 from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Erlandson enjoys reading, camping, and agility training with her border collies, "Ripken" and "J.J.".  She and her husband Eric, their son Luke, and their twin girls Ayda and Jillian share their home with their dogs, cats, and chickens.

DEANNA QUADE, DVM

Deanna Quade, DVM: Dr. Quade received her B.A. from Minnesota State University, Moorhead in 2002 and then attended the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine.  She received her doctorate in 2006. Dr. Quade enjoys spending time at the lake, fishing, kayaking, and boating in her spare time. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, John, her newborn Ryan, and their Shih Tzu, "Riley."
